When I'm looking at my engine, there are two things that look like they could be the egr valve. Is it the one that is closest to me if I'm standing in front of the car?

I read that you can get an egr fault code because of carbon build up at intake from pcv vapors. I wanted to snake a speedometer cable through then drill it around to get rid of the carbon. If you're guessing it threw a egr code at me, so I'd like to try this.

On my '95, it is the rear valve. I haven't been able to loosen the nut securing the tube to the valve, though.

You were going to do the same thing as me?

I'll take a look at it today. It's getting chilly out, so I'd like to take care of this stuff before the real cold starts.
