Help! E63 Message ESP Inoperative

Just in the last few days I get the message "ESP Inoperative" in the message display. It came on Sunday briefly and not again until today. The message also says "see owner's manual". In the owner's manual it says to "take car in immediately". I guess I will but really don't like the stealer.

Any thoughts on what the problem might entail? Thanks,

Most likely you steering angle sensor is going bad.
Take it in and have them check it out.

Is you're car cranking slow? And does this message appear only after it sits for a while (over a day?). If you're battery is going bad it could be the cause, if the voltage is low enough to cause the steering angle sensor to lose its normalization points.

That is good to know. Would you have more info, which models are included?
