2008 cl600-radar detector?

2008 cl600-radar detector?
I know the first year distronic interfered with any radar detector.had a 2007 s600 and dealer/posts here confirmed that. but my 2008 has a radar off selection- even parktronic is disabled. Can i now install a K40?

The Distronic plus is the problem one. It produces K-band all the time, even if you turn it off at the dash. Does your car have the start/stop feature, or just the cruise? If you have the start/stop, then your K-band will go off all the time, even if you disable it at the dash. With the new K-40 caliber, you can turn off the k-band, but lots of radar still uses this.
