Did you check to see if you have power at the coil?

The car is parked a few miles from my house. All I was able to to initially was check for spark. I'll be going back with my multimeter tomorrow. I'll be able to check for power to the coil then. Also, I'll be able to pull the coil and take it to the local parts store to check it out.

If those things check out, I'll need to know where to go from there. I'm concerned that it may be the ignition control module but would like to know how to check it out. I'm on an extreem budget and would like to check out as much as possible myself.

Ok, I've checked for power at the coil. That checks out fine. I also tested the coil. The coil is fine.

Does anyone know how to test the ingition control unit?
