help!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got home and the car is vibrating heavily in reverse. It still drives "smoothly" in reverse (no bucking), but with heavy vibration. It did it once in drive then went away, but still does it in reverse. This is like a drivetrain vibration, not specifically from the engine. This is a 2000 E55 41k miles.
Check the Idle speed.....
E55JAY,
It did happen to my Honda Accord couple months ago. Nothing was wrong with my Honda, except the idle speed was too low. Check the idle speed and if necessary adjust it. When it's too low, it caused that problem. Good luck.

cracked motor mounts
It could be.
I had the same problem with my Honda and they told me to change the 'motor mounts'. In fact, another dealer just adjusted the idle speed and fixed the problem. Who knows what they fixed and what they charged

Well, this is new to me, my car never vibrated, but the engine mount that broke was on the driver side, may be yours was the passenger side. it broke right around 41k or 42k miles
p.d. put K&Ns I'm getting upto 23.47 mph on the highway and improved performance.
