I brought my car to Mercedes of Manhattan which has an excellent facility and they said the car wasnt making any sounds when turning.


Its like the damn car acts up when i bring it to the mechanics for them to look at.


My 2003 mercedes s500 4matic for the past 2 years has been making this odd grinding sound toward the back right wheel when i back out of my driveway....and also when i make U-turns or any sharp turns.

It makes a grinding/mechanical sound in which the car vibrates somewhat.


I have posted before but have not had any help from anyone including the dealer?????


Anyone have any knowledge about this or any insight on what could be going on here.


Or has anyone had similar problems in there w220 4matics??

Just throwing something out there. Possibly aftermarket/oversized wheels and tires rubbing the fenders?

i have 18" aftermarket rims on there... same as my AMG rims that i had on before which were 245/45/18 all around. And when i had the amg rims on 2 years ago it would make a slight grinding sound in the winter and go away completely when it got warmer.


But since the past couple months the sound has just gotten alot worse.
