MAF...or Oxygen Sensor

Ok, I've read plenty about the Mass Air Flow sensor trigoring the Check Engine Light (which I have), and I have read out the OBD codes...P0171 anf P0174. I know this means both banks of cylinders of running "lean", and this is commonly an issue of the Mass Air Flow sensor. I am going to try and clean it first, prior to the possibility of replacing it. But could it just be an oxygen sensor? Or does that throw a different code?

I'm just trying to determine if this could be either one of the O2 Sensor, or the MAF sensor. I don't want to go purchasing a MAF sensor if it could be an O2 sensor. If so, how would I determine it's an O2 sensor?

You can tell if the computer used to do the read out is a correct unit, ie the MB Star diagnostic system.

Did clearning the MAS and resetting the code work?
