SL55 valve train noise

I just purchased an SL55 and it has a slight valve train tappet sound at idle. The dealer said it was normal, but I havent heard it before on any other Mercedes that I have owned. The last two were an S500 and a CL500. Is this common or does it need to be adjusted?

Valvetrain noise is normal on the 3 valve engines to an extent. Although it isn't uncommon for the lifters to go bad on these engines either.

I would take it to another dealer and get a second opinion.
