I have a chance to get a running one literally for free. still runs but needs some work. how easy is it to get parts for this thing? where can i get it? any websites? condition is descent. i'm not worried about body work or interior. i can do that. just motor concerns me.

Is it worth it to restore to top shape.

Parts should be easy to get, and these cars are very reliable when well kept.

Easy, yes.

You won't believe how expensive.

let me put it like this... if you got this car for free in descent running condition and wanted to restore it to excellent condition, would it be worth it? I'm not looking to turn around and sell it.

I'm 33 and a young professional entrepreneur looking to highlight another image that says I'm educated and sophisticated, but not gay. This car could do it for me with an older generation and possibly a conversation starter. I think this car says I appreciate the fine things in life.

The SLC is a great investment in automotive culture and design. Since that is the perspective you are taking, go for it!
