2004 C230 Kompressor 4dr Sedan - Audio Warning (2) dings
Hello All,
I have a 2004 C230 Kompressor sedan , 4dr , automatic.
The computer reports "No Malfunction" however after about 10min of driving
I get a double "ding , ding" through the audio system (warning ding) and it repeates every 15 or 20 seconds.
I have no idea what is triggering this and of course it is driving me crazy.
Any help with this or perhaps a list of "audio warnings" would be greatly appreciated.
An after market manual sudgestion would also be greatly appreciated as the stock manual has much to be desired.

BMW E30. I've turned to the dark side.
do you have a phone installed in the car? could be a voicemail reminder.
edit: also if you have a base audio system, a warning will beep if the cassette door is open,

Hello All,
thanks for the advice -- My wife and I where wearing our seat belts -- but I will make sure they are fully engaged next drive. Alas we do not have a phone installed in the car. I do have a "treo 680" bluetooth phone. Could the phone have been interacting with the car??? I had no idea that the casste door would also create the warning sound -- I will go down and check that it is properly closed.
Any more ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for the answers thus far
