kleemann exauhst
i have a 2002 sl r230
it has a kleemann exaust, and i think the catalytic converter is blocked, what can i do?

hmmmm my car was bought in bahrain, and im in kuwait.. the dealer here doesnt know much about kleemann lol.
so he doesnt know how much oil to put in the car... increasing it by 2 liters at least...
after a few hard runs u get a msg telling u that engine oil is higher than level blah blah blah. i reduced it.
seller claims 650 hp to the wheel, i got only 365. i checked and changed everything.
reduced oil too.
anyways as i have experience with other cars, the more powerfull it gets the more pressure comes out of the exhaust, and with this one, when my hand is close to the tip i cant feel much.
dunno if its different with german cars, o benz in particular, but in a 67 GTO, upgraded cams, supercharger... etc will increase the pressure "puffs" going out the tip.

Seems to me that if your cats were clogged, you would be having other probloems. Check engine light for misfires, o2 sensors, or MAF. If the cats were clogged you would def misfire at wide open throttle.

If your cats were clogged you would be getting a check engine light, and probably being sent into limp home mode.
What mods do you have done to your car?
The sl500 takes about 8.5 quarts of engine oil.

my problem is that i dont know whats done with the car... ill take some pics and post them, and u tell me what ive got lol...
hehe didnt change anything at all, and the cats where not blocked, tnx anyways
