12v in engine bay in new E500???
im trying to access 12v in the engine bay on my new E500. anybody knows where the junction is? there is what looks like a minature battery under the AC filter, is that it? i called 1800formerc and the rep said that u cant access 12v from anywhere but from the battery in the trunk. i need to find out asap. tha

There should be a main power rail on one of the fuseboxes under the hood. It will have 12v on it. Look for a larger diameter wire going in to the box then you can find a point to tap off of.
