W208 Headlight Grounding Point(s)?

Please excuse the cross-posting,..

Hi all,

Wife took my car yesterday and left the headlights on all day. Needless to say, the battery died, and when I tried to toggle the headlight switch, I started to get a rapid "clicking" noise only from the driver side headlight area. I've been having intermittent problems with that headlight firing and am suspecting a loose ground wire somewhere.

When I tried to boost the car from the trunk, nothing happened, so this further leads me to think I have a faulty ground. Any suggestions on where to look, or if I can disconnect the headlights altogether to try boosting?

Also to note, I disconnected the battery entirely, positive and negative terminals, and the clicking noise did NOT stop. It was fairly loud and, only stopped when I happened to slam my door and the car jostled a bit.

HELP!!
