OEM Active Xenon not bright enough

my car is CLS 500 with Active Xenon headlight, my friend has the non-active with M-TECH HID kit, his HID light is way brighter than mine, is it something wrong with my HID? are there anyway we can boost the power up or switch to the 55W Ballast or something ...anyone??

Chances are it is the bulb color/temperature that is the difference. I am probably wrong about that, but coming from BMW to Mercedes I noticed the active headlights in my car are a lot less profound and slower to react than my old 5-Series.

If there is an actual difference in brightness as you stated, it may have more to do with the headlamp design than the actual bulb. I would start off by doing research on the stock color temperatures of each vehicle and see if that might be the problem.
