I just received an 00-02 OEM set of taillights to update the look of my e-class. What I'd like to do is use VHT nightshade to slightly darken the lenses. I want to paint the inside of the lens and not the outside.

I heated them in the oven for a while, but that didn't soften the adhesive at all. Has anyone taken their taillights apart? Any ideas on how I can get these open without damaging the housing? Thanks,
