Question Is there a way to reboot a W211 COMAND?

Is there a key combination to reboot a W211 COMAND that is known short of turning off the key and allowing the MOST ring to sleep?

Thanks

im not sure if there is any key combination, but you could try pulling the fuse for the command unit?

I'm sure that would work, but I would like to find a method to do it while driving if possible.

What is it you're trying to accomplish? Most of the time that COMAND gets in a weird state it's the CAN-B quiescing and restarting that resets the problem. MOST is pretty simple. And because CAN-B basically controls everything in the car other than the engine, you can't shut it down until it senses the car is really ready to sleep.

Change to US mode from ECE. SAT is not available in ECE mode. The car typically stays in US mode but if I decide I want to listen to a live concert on DVD while driving or on a trip it would be nice to change to ECE without having to allow the MOST bus to sleep by pulling over, shutting down, opening the door, and waiting for a couple of minutes.

I know that after an Update CD is run on the unit it will restart so it can be done via software, and also the MCS-IIs can be reset via software keys. I would think the W211 COMAND would have the same feature, but perhaps it is not yet discovered or not widely known.
