Valve cover seal replacement
Did anyone replace their valve cover seals on the 4.3 V8? If so how long of a job is it? Any special tools required?

I tried searching but found nothing.

Doesn't take very long. The dealer will ask an hour ish each side.

only tools you will need are.
T-20 torx
T-30 torx
E-10 inverted torx

Thanks for the feedback. Does anyone know the part number of the valve cover gaskets? Also how much are they from a dealer?

Anyone know the torque specs on the cover screws? Should I put anti seize on the threads?

I think it is 10 nm, but hand tight with a quarter inch ratchet should be fine, make sure all are about the same.

No anti seize is needed.
