Cooling Fan won't stop running
Hi guys,
I've searched for "cooling fan" and saw quite a few people experienced the cooling fan running constantly when the engine is on. Unfortunately, I didn't find an answer to this problem. Can anyone shed some light?![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)

I understand that if the A/C is on the fan will run constantly. If it runs when the engine is cool and the A/C is off then you have an issue.

I own an CLK BS and a mounth ago i started my car and even though was cold the fan started so it cought my attetion and also my AC was not functioning,i called my friend at mercedes and said to bring it over and run a diagnosis,he then found out that the AC console on the dash board was broken or cracked somehow so they replaced it for free.He then explained me that the fan is a kind of reaction for the car to inform you that something is wrong.

I used to have an '01 SLK 320 that had that problem and we replaced the blower motor regulator. Problem solved. But your car is an '06, so it should still be under warranty. Take it to the dealership.

sergs99m3 is right about this. When the cooling fan stays on the ecu is usually bad. You will have to find a company who offers mercedes ecu repair. Here are step by step instructions on how to remove a Mercedes ecu. http://www.mercedesecm.com/remove-ecu.html
Good luck with it.
