Disconnecting Battery of W211?

Hello, My friend has a W211 E500, from what he understands he has two batteries. He is going to be showing his car, but the show has a rule that he needs to disconnect his battery. Is there a way to safely disconnect the batteries/battery of the W211, with out frying any of the electronics or anything of that nature? Thanks a bunch for your help!
Thanks,
MiMiK3

The battery under the hood controls all the electronics. The battery in the Trunk controls Starting and a few other accessories.

If you do disconnect the battery you will have to go back to the dealer after you reconnect it. Disconnecting the battery will set alot of codes in the computers.
