Alignment spec ?s for SLK32
Toe before LF .19, RF .18, LR .43, RR .035 total toe front .37, rear.78.
Toe after, LF .18, RF .21, LR .28, RR .30, total toe front .40, rear .57.
Can my problem be helped by change the toe setting to 0 or negitave?
Looking at your alignment specs they are about right. It does seem to me however that the front toe is more then it should be. I believe that front toe should be about 12 minutes toed in on each wheel for a total toe of 24 minutes. Rear toe should be about 16 minutes toed in at each wheel for a total toe of 32 minutes.
What are your Caster readings? You didn't post them.
Did you forget to put the Negative (-) symbol before the right front Camber on the after spec or was the Camber really changed that Much?
Looking at your Toe specs, I bet if you let go of the steering wheel that the steering wheel goes off center to the right a little?
My printout does not have the caster settings. The tech said they were at spec. ]
Due to the stiff suspension, low profile tires and really short wheel base allows the car to change direction pretty quickly which is why the car is so sensitive.
One of the reasons why I asked what the caster is, if the car does not have enough caster it can cause this problem also. On cars that customers complain about this I usually add more positive caster to the car to increase its stability more and reduce some of the sensitivity.
