im gonna pick this up and have it put in...
also says i need to replace this and flush system..what does this part mean?
i googled it and didnt come up with anything..thanks

Commonly called the Receiver/Drier; in brief, it gets contaminated with moisture or debris when the system is open or chewed itself part.

Thanks! I talked to a local shop and they will replace the comressor flsh etc for 220..the compressor I can get from ebay. 450 fixed is better then 1500. Anyone see anything wrong with the remanfactred compressor?

The comp quality is dependent upon the quality of the core and abilities and care of the rebuilder.

I've had 3 of them in my 85; AC is currently dead again and it will stay that way as long as I own it. Grown tired of that game......

I agree with TMAllison.....depends on rebuilder and core...but with the difference in price it's worth taking the chance IMO. Usually they are replaced because of bad seals or clutches and both <should> always be replaced during reman.
