Mine sometimes won't go down unless I push and pull on it while operating the shade button. It gets stuck and makes a loud clicking noise. This is a common problem with the C class shades. It seems they put too much lubrication/grease in the mechanism and it mucks up the operation. Supposedly taking it apart, cleaning out the goop, and lubing it again fixes the problem.
