'98 E 320 AWD - trouble RESTARTING but catches after 3-4 min pause.
help! have a 98 E320 with 82K miles... great machine ... but have had a raddle underneath which been told is cat converter... big bucks to repair so have lived with it for 6 months... even passed emissions! Car starts up cold nicely -- but somdetimes fails to restart quickly after having driven it - turns over nicely but sometimes will not restart ,,, it does, however, restart after 3-5 minutes pause!!! ... Have not had a complete tuneup yet! Sooo, could the trouble restarting be due to using 87 octane, sick cat converter, or just needs a complete tune-up???
