help please clk500 2003 ac compressor installed doesnt turn on

help please clk500 2003 ac compressor installed doesnt turn on
ok so had the new compressor put on...shop said it works when they turn on manually, but it doesnt turn on thru the clinate control buttons inside...
they said it needs a ac module?
they checked fuses and relays and said were fine...does that sound right?
the ac compressor clutch a month ago froze up and shredded the belt..the ac controls worked then why would it brake now? is there things i can check on my own to see if i can fix it?
they cant find the part tho and they have had car 2 days...so i took it back
is this something i can do on my own and where could i find the part? thanks in advance...mercedes dealer by me has the worst service ever and wont even give me a quote on part..they said they need to inspect the car first before talking prices..

Put 12 v directly to the clutch and verify the new clutch works. Also use a voltmeter and turn on the ac with the plug off the compressor and check for 12 v.
