Oil Change Procedure
Weli it looks like the oil filter and oil will be changed on Monday on my clk 430 by me.
I picked up the filter from MB today and noticed that it came with a few (3?) "o" ring gaskets. Anyone know what that's for???
Also, the screws that hold up the oil pan cover, are the screws regular ones or do I need to buy a special tool to remove the screws?

Here are the instructions forgot to post before. This does discuss the 3 rings that came with the filter but not screws on the underneath side. Try searching the forum with the search feature at the upper right. You may find more directions.

I completed the job and it feels great. It was easy. Nothing like letting the few drops of old oil fall from the oil pan. That's the type of job that no dealership will do for you. The oil is so clean right now that it was hard to read the dipstick. Ha.
