Question Question about Alignments on MB

I was traveling at about 55mph on the freeway and had to swerve hard left to avoid hitting another car. Now it feels like the car is pulling slightly to the right, and the steering wheel is no longer centered.

Where should I take my 2006 SLK55 AMG (non-030) to get aligned? Do I have to take it to an MB dealer? If not, where else can I take it? Does anyone have the alignment specs for my car?

Thanks in advance.

Alignment is not a dealer only thing, although tey are always equiped to service it.

If not the dealer, go to a alignment shop rather than a tire store with an alignment rack.

Anyone with a rack will ahve your car in their program.

Did you also hit something, like a curb?

A good dealer will do a better job then a regular shop, but a bad dealer...

Not all shops have the correct tools, but then neither do some dealers.

Wow that was no help.

Thanks for the info. I just got it back from the dealer and the problem appears to have been fixed.

What did they fix? Rapid lane change should not change alignment.

Bushing, tire, I have a hard time believing the MB has a weak front end that rapid lane change will cause it to pull.

Look closely to make sure you don't have something else failing. Be safe.
