Temporary Fix for EHA Valve
I originally posted this in the W126 forum but moved it here as I realized this might be a more appropriate place to ask.
The EHA valve on my '89 420SEL has started leaking from one of the small holes on the front. I've ordered a replacement, but it will take a week to get here. I need the car for work so I'm considering using epoxy to seal the leaking hole until the new part arrives.
I'm not sure if the hole is just for mounting pins for the internal valve mechanism or if they are "breather" or vent holes. If it's just for mounting pins I should be able to seal it, but if it's a breather hole, how significantly will sealing it impact engine performance?
Thanks!
