It's hard to tell without looking at the parts list for both cars, but in general:
  • Engine: Probably the same, except for emissions. Different countries and even different states (e.g. CA emissions) have different requirements, and therefore different equipment.
  • Transmission: Probably the same
  • Suspension: Many parts (struts, springs, etc) will probably be the same. Anything having to do with the steering system (rack & pinion, etc) will probably be different.
  • Brakes: Probably the same
Also, even a part that's not related in any way to the steering may have to be different to accommodate another part.

If I were you, I'd look up the part number for both the LHD and RHD version before buying anything. That way, you'll know it'll work instead of assuming it'll work.

Question thx

Hey bros!
I have a 1987 W124 mercedes. This car belonged to my father so i don't want to sell it. I want to repair everything in it so i'm thinking to purchase a 1995 w 124 with full features from UK, because there the cars are cheaper. After i'll bring it home i'm thinking of taking the engine, transmision, suspension, brakes, the entire interior, etc. and install it on my car.
So before i'll do it i would like to get advices.
Please suggest me if it is real to do or not.

Thank you in advance.
