abs and brake warning

I have an 05 clk500 that shows 2 faults on the display
abs
brake wear
the check engine light is also on
So to get it to the dealer i had to start the car and get it into gear before the computer decided there was a problem, otherwise it would lockout the shifter. Once I got going the speedometer was not working and the steering didnt feel right
I replaced the rotors and pads since the rotors were well worn but the pads were not into the sensor yet. I took it to the dealer and had them reset the codes but after a few miles they came back on. Now its a crap shoot if the faults come back or not after restarting the car. Oh and my extended warranty doesnt cover "hi tech electronics"

Sorry it took so long but the check engine light comes on intermittently. I didnt know if it would store a code so I had to wait until it was on when I was in the car(its my wifes car). The code is 0600.

That code is an engine code, it doesn't really help.

I would say that you have a speed sensor fault, but you really need to get all the codes to know exactly whats going on.

I agree. I have seen O2 sensors throw a code then after driving burn clean and no check engine light. Then after driving in stop and go heavy traffic the CEL would return. The cycle would repeat after highway driving. So having the code is the right way to problems solve.

Otherwise you could buy a box of sensors and parts then change them one at a time until you find the right one.
