Which ODB II Diagnostic Code Reader?

Hello,
My car is a 2002 SLK32 AMG
I am looking for advice on which readers are good and bad.
Or any links to reliable web sites that review these tools.
Thank You.

Good or bad depends on what you want it to do. I bought the actron Elite CP9190 which has all the cables and connectors back to 1984.

The day I got it the check engine on my diesel truck came on. Out of the box it took 10 minutes to find the code. 30 minutes to review the system and a $4.00 relay to fix the problem. Consider taking it to shop drop off let them scan wait fix and pay total bill.

Mine works well for me. Your results may vary.

Thanks Vetdrvr,
I'll check out your model. In the past I have only used these tools( borrowed ) to read codes and clear codes and am really trying to avoid buying a $100-500 POS.
My use will be on 1996 and newer because my other cars are 1967 and older.
