Beefier MBZ transmission - 5-speed auto or 6-speed manual?
Curious how much torque has been put through both of these transmission reliably before going kaput.
I have a new build that I think I'd prefer the manual, but I'm not sure how much power it can hold.

The auto is stronger for sure.
Mercedes doesn't fit manual transmissions to any of the larger engines/larger cars. There's no such thing as a manual transmission AMG, either. I'm pretty certain Mercedes has never fit a manual transmission behind a V8 engine.
