S210: Can EIS be 'burned out' by bad ECU?
Hi folks, my 320CDI wouldnt start, and I was told by my mechanic it was EIS failure, common enough. However, the new EIS also failed, and he says the cause is traced to a bad ECU. So thats £2000 in parts alone..(he only charged for one EIS).
I have been lead to believe however that this cant happen, (bad ECU causing EIS failure) so I am looking for some back up, before I go an have a little word with him.. Is there any scenario anyone knows of in which this could occur?
Thanks for any help..
