300E Transmission Leaking

What should I do about the leak?

Im about to do a tune up and replace the head gasket what can I do to tune up my transmission...

As with all leaks, the best method of finding it is to clean the area where it appears to be coming from and then start the car and let it idle until you can spot its source. It needs to be repaired so that the tranny doesn't run low of fluid and become damaged.

Leak in front seal is common.

Trans comes out--$2K.

In Summer 04' the car had a leaking transmission that time as well. The repairs were $770 which were done by an indie mechanic. Work done included: reseal front pump, replace hub lip seal, replace rear main seal and service transmission.

My local MB club president said it may just be the cold weather we had about a month ago...I hope it is
