Can't get key out
Last serveral times I have tried to start the car the key has been difficult to get in. It seemed if I wiggled and jiggled it a bit it finally went in. Then yesterday when I went to shut off the car, I cannot turn the key in the ignition at all and cannot shut off the car.

This happens to ALL Mercedes this vintage.
There's no repair, just replacement.
Get the innards of the ignition cylinder replaced before you're stranded.
Mercedes specialists may have a "loaner" cylinder to use while waiting for replacement, key-matched cylinder from dealer.
