decoke without disassembling the motor?
I was wondering if any mechanics or service tech have a recommendation of decoke a motor without breaking it down. My car is just about to see 75k, and I want to clean out the carbon deposit without breaking down the motor.

Unless you're using crap fuels, have leaky valve guide seals or lug the engine like hell under load, I doubt that there are enough coke deposits inside to worry about. If this is really bothering you, try an Italian tune-up every few weeks (drive up to redline a little bit).
My 405 has 110,000 miles more than your Mercedes on it, and the engine's never been apart nor has it had any special de-coking procedure applied.
If this does not impress you, there are some industrial de-coking products that dealers can use for this sort of thing. I doubt that there are any, which work, that are DIY-able.

Unlike everyone else in the country, california gasoline are one of the dirtiest. range from 87-91 only.
When I had my RX-7, I decoke it twice. One time in about 80k, the next at 150k, the first time because we were rebuilding the apex seals, but it had alot of carbon deposit.
I figure my benz would be about the same.
Would anyone know of a product that might work without breaking down the motor?

Dont worry about the deposits. Check your spark plugs, if they look light brownish, no or only little oil or coke deposits everything is ok. I own 2 W124 260E both well over 190KMils none ever been "decoked" and still running great. These engines dont need this.
