Ethanol in the gas. How can I combat damage to my fuel system?

Vehicle Make - Mercedes Benz
Vehicle Model-500 SEC..
Vehicle Year- 1983 gray market Euro spec/US registered
Options the vehicle has- auto transmission

Does the Ethanol in pump gas bother the Aluminum W126 fuel system at all?

what product(s) can I use to keep the water and condensation at bay and get the most out of my gasoline and not have a damaged fuel system from using the Ethanol gas forced upon us by the Government?
