No Dash or Speedo!

No Dash or Speedo!
In the last 3 weeks I've had a few strange issues with my 2008 ML320 CDI with 29k miles.
For starters, when I take the key out of the ignition, the dash says remove key as if the key is still in the ignition.
Issue 2, doors wouldn't open with the key fob, but the trunk opened, that was a fun crawl thru dog hair in work clothes.
Issue 3, the dash failed while driving, no speedo, no fuel guage, no system info or rpm's, it just went black.
I'm guessing these are all related. I have an apt with MB service on 9.22, but I was wondering if anybody else hit this and what was the cause.
