I second Amsoil.
Although I believe 0w-30 should be OK for most driving, especially since Amsoil's 30 weight protection probably exceeds Mobil 1's 40 weight protection. Not to mention that I believe most of my cars used to be changed with Mobil 1 5w-30.

In Europe there are many brands available off the shelf that are 5w-30's and are 229.3.
I think they are factory filled with 5w-30 because it's readily available and meets specs. Mobil 0w-40 is availble here and meets specs.
In US it's very hard to find 229.3 / 229.5 spec oil other than Mobil 0-40.
The Mobil 0w-40 is a great oil and does meet the newer 229.5 spec, too.
