changing antifreeze
i have a 2004 CL600 AND CHECKED THE DVD ABOUT CHANGING ANTIFREEZE. they say you need special equipment to change the antifreeze thru the overflow tank. is there a way to change anti freeze without this special equipment and still bleed the air out of the system?
thanks

I have an '02 CL500 and am able to drain the coolant from the radiator via a drain on the left bottom of it. You must remove the plastic panel as if you were going to change the oil to access this drain. I don't know if the 600's are set up this way. This method will probably remove only about half of the engine's coolant but if you do this every couple of years using a 50/50 solution of A/F and distilled water you will be fine.

When changing coolant without the correct equipment , the radiator only is usually drained and not the engine, so without the correct equipment you would have to do a little more work. ( well if you are changing coolant type it is highly recommended to flush motor as well )

what is the extra work required to do a full antifreeze change and extract all air bubbles without the proper equipment?
