2003 ML350, jolts a little forward for 10 seconds when I'm stopped at a red light

2003 ML350, jolts a little forward for 10 seconds when I'm stopped at a red light
My brand new ML350 when stopped at a red light keeps wanting to go forward from time to time. It jolts, stops, then jolts forward again. It doesn't do this everytime. I have over 700 brand new miles on it so far and I counted the # of times this happened was about 4. I called the dealer and they state that a light should come on in the dashboard saying there's engine trouble. I don't see anything though. They wanted me to bring it in for diagnostic tests.
The only other thing I could think of is since the brake and gas pedal are so close that I maybe hit both at the same time. The last time my ML did this I made sure my foot was only on the brake when I was waiting at a red light.
Any suggestions or help as to why this could be happening and why my ML350 wants to keep moving forward when I'm applying the brakes when stopped at a red light????

your car's automatic right? could be something wrong with your idle. it might rise and fall and since you're in drive all the time it'll try to move forward when the revs climb. that's pretty weird though, because it shouldn't have any problems idling if its new.
