My mirror seems to not get dark enough to make the lights not blind me. Even with the sunshade up, it is too bright. (in fact the sun shade up stops the mirror from bluing much at all) Is this typical, or should it get comfortably dark.

I dislike the auto-dimming mirrors. I feel like mine gets "too dark"....can't tell if there's a cop behind me

I don't like the auto-dim either.

When my dealer gives me a loaner with an auto-dimming rear view mirror, I put a bit of black electrical tape on the sensor to disable the auto-dim as I like to be able to see what kind of vehicles are behind me.
