2008 R350 drivetrain noise during cruise and part throttle between 1800 - 2100 RPM
I'm soliciting opinions from other R350 owners or service tech's regarding drivetrain noise and vibration between 1800 and 2100 RPM during light to moderate load (e.g. going up hills, cruising on the expressway, or part throttle acceleration). The noise sounds like resonance/NVH from the motor or drivetrain during part throttle, almost like a defective motor mount or transmission; the dealer reported that drivetrain noise from the R class is normal; could this be possible that Mercedes released a car with known NVH/noise issues during cruise and at light to moderate throttle. The drivetrain is nearly silent during any other conditions/RPMs other than full throttle, which is expected..
What further exacerbates this issue, is that 1800-2100 RPM in 7th gear is roughly equivalent to ~55-70MPH.. this is cruising speed. The noise and vibration really gets fatiguing for drives of more than 15-20 minutes.
Is the behavior that I describe normal? I've read other posts online reporting the same issues with resolution occasionally resulting from replacement or repair of the center differential. Based on what was reported by my dealer, I just can't believe that Mercedes would release a car into production with noise and driveability issues.
For reference, I also own an ML63, and other than normal exhaust noise, it is significantly quieter than the R....
Your feedback is appreciated.

Don't notice it in my 2010. Well, yes, the engine has a little vibration. After all, it is a 6 and not an 8, but no noise.
