Knock on wood but, tech woes cured with W204 and W212
From my viewpoint, Daimler deserves an "Extra, Extra, read all about it!!!"
The W204 and W212 are living to published expectations for reliability, performance and durability. Both 99% robotized lines seem to have taken charge of delivering the precision, quality and workmanship expected from "new and improved" models and the tune of the fora has changed from bitter disappointments to subjects of changes in aesthetics and obtaining improved models appearance.
Kudos to all involved in Stuttgart, Sindelfingen, and all the other points on the Globe... The back seats have no longer the limo space of yesteryear, but the new machines are a delight for traveling the informal way of today.
So, no offense men and women who proudly sign, physically and figuratively, your daily work at Daimler, it is still up to you to keep vendors in line, get the right part to the right place, make sure that everything is absolutely correct, and cook the goose, so to speak, before is driven out the door, but the drones are doing a great job.
