Mercedes phone

I wonder if it is possible to upgrade the anolog phone in my car to a digital one as the newer or recent models. I have a 95 W140 coupe that has a phone built in. Any help would be appreciated.

MBUSA told me it could be done but would cost 5K. 5K? Forget it. I found a guy in Netherlands sell and install Mercedes parts that dealers would say impossible. In fact, he told me all I need is a D2P headunit and if it works with the car's wiring or Bose amp and speakers, it could be done with a Nokia kit he sells for around 600 bucks. I already bought a D2P headunit from someone who's selling it from a 2002 C32. If it works, then I could use the same Nokia phone on both cars. If you need more information, try mercedesmods.com. There are a lot of helpful links in there.

Oh yes, it is. I drove it all the way from CA to IN and the passing power is awesome and the car was still very stable at 135mph. The only thing held me back was the tires and the shinning spots on the horizen that turned out to be KS state trooper. But I slowed down to a more civilized 65 mph and he didn't stop me. The only drawback was that anolog phone and the roaming charge alone was a killer!
