dash light and gas gauge C280 1999
hi all,
need your input on a 1999 C280 sport pkg that we got for my mother-in-law. car drives great, but just discovered that left side of dash is dark vs. the right side - the speedo and the gas gauge look dim. the place i bot the car from says they have tool, but didn't know how to take the dash off to replace the bulb. any thoughts - or is this a dealer work?
also, the gas gauge light came off indicating that gas was low. i just filled up the tank and the light has gone away - but the needle is still down low...at the bottom of the gauge. any thoughts here?

Gas Gauge
I had a similar problem with my gas gauge reading empty just after I filled the car a coulpe of times. Also, sometimes the needle would drop 1/4 to 1/2 a tank in 15 min. Car is StarMarked so dealer replaced a fuel sending unit in gas tank. Problem has not come back.
