Dash lights
Hi

The dash backlighting on my 2008 W204 failed to come on today as I entered an underground garage (where it normally turns on automatically).
Both speedo lighting and radio/phone buttons were out.

Started the car several hours later and everything was OK. So I guess its not a fuse, but maybe a dodgy sensor. Any idea where this sensor is and is it easy to replace.

The rain/light sensor is the sensor responsible, it is located at the top of the windshield looking out. from the exterior of the car you can see it. Its not to bad to replace. there is a cover over it
