Hi everyone

The Comand system on my car doesnt have the online function, I was just wondering if I can upgrade the software to enable this function or I need to replace the whole comand thing?

What is your year/model?

Many times there are update CD's/DVD's that are used to upgrade the firmware in COMAND units.

My car is SLK R172 (2012)

According to my spec sheet it has a DVD Head Unit but when I inserted DVD Disc I got an error message say " Unreadable" also the menu Video is not there on the Comand screen but my friend's Comand has this Video menu and online function

I was just wondering if this can be software upgraded ?

You have to put the DVD in the 1cd for it to work. Try that....
