190e starts fine, then drive one mile and it idles rough and stalls.
Hello I'm new to this site, but I've noticed that everyone helps each other which is what I need. So I'll lay it out there. I have a 1993 190E2.6. I have replaced a lot of parts. Main reason being was my car would start right up, then I would drive it about one mile or let it warm up for about three minutes.
The car then after that first mile or three minutes would idle very rough if i slowed down, or let it warm up. Upon pressing on the accelerator it would sputter until above 1500 rpm. If I keep the rpms above that rate for about five minutes the problem goes away and it's good to go all day only to have to repeat this the next morning.
This seems to only happen when it is hot/humid. Here is what I've done to the car.
New:
Rotor/Cap
Plugs
Wires
Fuel Pumps
Fuel Filter
Fuel Relay Fuse behind battery/all new
Injectors clean/checked
Vacuum leak checks none discovered.
Temp sensor new
Air Filter.
Pretty much a whole tune up.
I take it to a local Benz specialist and they can't seem to find !@#$ wrong. Their theory is replace all parts until problem goes away. Well no thanks. I'll support their business but not pay their bonuses.
Also the ABS light just came on not sure if that will point anywhere?
Car has 181,000 Miles on it. Looks great and runs great accept for the above.
Any suggestions that I might be able to look at myself? I had fuel pressure test done and all signs were fine.
I have noticed that the car seems to be getting less miles to the gallon lately.
