Unhappy heater won't turn off

The heater on my E220 is stuck on hot. the heater dials make no diference. Can anyone help?

by design,all German cars default to defrost/full heat when they fail.

On the older cars, the mono valve controlled the water flow on the return of the heater core. The newer cars have an integrated mono valve/circulator pump. That might need to be replaced.
