8-Piston vs 6-Piston front caliper
Hello,
do you know which calipers is best of both? The 6-Piston or the 8-Piston one? Let's just talk about the caliper itself and not about the brake discs. I already read that the brake discs of the 8-piston calipers aren't that good.
Furthermore I am wondering why AMG isn't using a 8-piston caliper anymore on any of it's models? I simply assume that the 6-piston caliper performs better as I can't imagine AMG doing any cost cuttings with brakes.
Of what I know is that the 6-Piston caliper has a larger brake pad surface area vs. the 8-piston one (17670 vs. 15354).
What do you think? Facts only please.
